Re//DEFINED Secures Funds to Launch New Health Network; Names Leadership

SOAR Health Network will provide accessible, high quality, and culturally-responsive behavioral health services and support to youth in Central Louisiana.

Re//DEFINED announced that it has secured funds to launch its new healthcare network, The SOAR Health Network. The SOAR Health Network will specialize in behavioral health services and support for youth up to age 21.

"What an accomplishment this is; more importantly, what a victory this is for our local communities and our youth," stated Chairman Curtis Lewis, "We can now begin creating the infrastructure needed to directly, appropriately, and aggressively address the needs of our young people".

SOAR Health Network will offer an array of services to address the "5 Key Areas of Empowerment":
  • Academics
  • Physical Health
  • Behavioral and Emotional Stability
  • Family
  • Community Integration
"Research shows that addressing these 5 Key Areas of Empowerment simultaneously will begin to improve the stability of an individual. There is no one-size-fits-all system, therefore, SOAR Health will be able to individualize services according to the need of the youth, from mentorship or tutoring to intensive behavioral health treatment. We are Built on SERVANTHOOD."

Re//DEFINED tasks Co-Founders Vevay Butler and Jaleesha Rundell to lead SOAR Health Network.
Butler, a licensed clinical social worker, has been named the Director of Clinical Services and will oversee all clinical operations to include counseling and the socio-emotional learning program. A veteran clinician and community worker, Butler has experience in all aspects of behavioral health. Additionally, she as a board member of the Triage Restorative Ministries and The Re//DEFINED Project.
"Excited to be a change agent in my community," Butler responded after the announcement.

Rundell has been named the Director of Field Operations and will oversee all field operations to include academic support and community integration. Rundell brings a wealth of knowledge in case management and advocacy to SOAR Health. Rundell also serves on the board of directors of The Re//DEFINED Project.

"I am forever grateful for the Lord trusting us with this vision; nothing fills my heart more than serving! To these remarkable co-founders, Vevay and Jaleesha, I thank you for your leadership to help make this happen." Lewis mentioned. "Over the next several weeks, we will begin rounding out our team and finalizing our strategy ahead of our January 2021 launch date. We will release additional information about enrollment, job vacancies, and contract opportunities the second week of December."
